8. Rhodeus sericeus sericeus.
Pseudoperilampus lighti amurensis.
Acheilognathus chankaensis.
Acanthorhodeus asmussi.
Inhabit the Amur River. Males usually bigger, slimmer and brighter than females. Sexually mature at 8 to 15 months. Intermittent spawning, in schools. Ostracophils. Food: 60% vegetable and 40% animal.
1 and 2. Fecundity 150 to 400 eggs (d—1.6 to 2.7 mm). 5 to 15 eggs are laid in one mollusc (Unio). Incubation period 3 days
at 22° C, 17 days later the young start swimming. Close species from Japan: R.ocellatus—10 cm. R.atremis—6 cm and P. typus—9 cm.
3 and 4. Fecundity to 1,200 eggs (d—1.5 mm). 200 to 500 eggs are laid in one mollusc (Cristaria plicata, Anodonta, etc.). The young start fceding at 20 to 22 days at 20° C. Hybridization R.sericeus x Ach. | chankaensis x A. asmussi is possible.
