Chalinochromis spec. ‘‘bifrenatus’’ (Two-Striped Chalinochromis inhabits rocky biotops of Lake Tanganyika. Kept in the USSR by aquafrists since 1977. Colouration of these fishes is sandy with two dark longitudinal stripes. Both males and females have a similar colour pattern. Length, to 12 cm. Omnivorous species. Sexually mature at 10 to 12 months. Spawning in pairs in a shelter. Fecundity up to 200 eggs. The young start feeding freely in 10 days. Feeding commences with small plankton. The young are similar to the adults in colour pattern. Water conditions are the same as for Lake Tanganyika Cichlids: dGH 10—20°, pH 8.0—9.0, temperatures 24 to 26° C, aeration, filtration. Maybe it is Ch. brichardi colour form.
