22. Elizabetes (now Kirova) Street — the pear! of Riga’s boulevard zone. As far back as inthe middle of the 19th century it was lined by one- or two-storeyed buildings characteristic of suburbs. In the 80s new dwelling-houses were built (architects J. F. Baumanis, K. Pékséns, M. Eizenstein, E. Pole and others). To the right — the German Riflemen’s Society Garden (laid out in 1863). In the 30s of the 20th century it was reconstructed (A. Zeidaks’ project) and renamed Kronvalda Park.
